ACTing Like The Church

Our lessons from the physician and missionary, Luke, continue are we walk through the entire book of Acts in our current Sermon Series: “ACTing Like the Church”. This series will run from September 2011 until June 2012.

Jesus promised, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believe in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to the Father.” But Jesus came back! After His ascension and glorification, He returned in the Holy Spirit to fulfill His promise through the work of His disciples.

Join us for one of our Sunday services as we learn together how God used the Holy Spirit to a small group of men and women to witness Jesus’s message of love and forgiveness, and how He wants us to follow that example! Come hear stories of real people, with hopes and hurts like ours, who moved by the power of the Holy Spirit led the growth of the Church.

Acts is happening today, at Springfield United Methodist Church, in our community, and in our world—and we have the privilege to continue Jesus’s work. Come hear how.
