Children in Worship
CHILDREN'S MOMENT
During the 10:30 worship service, children are invited to the front of the church for a special “Children’s Moment” with Dr. Barr. This time of worship is dedicated to engaging our youngest parishioners in a brief Gospel lesson that usually reflects a the key message of the pastor’s sermon.
The “Children’s Moment” is not a Sunday School lesson. It is a celebration of a simple Gospel point made briefly and lovingly by Dr. Barr to all children (and to the young at heart!).
CHILDREN’S CHURCH:
After the “Children’s Moment” message during the 10:30 AM service, children ages 3-3rd grade, have the option to stay with their families and enjoy our service or attend our special “Children’s Church” in rooms 205 (3 year olds-Kindergarden) and 206 (1st-3rd grades).
BUZZ WORDS:
Buzz Words is a fun challenge game played during the pastor’s message (don't worry the pastors know we are playing!) Write down 10 “key words” (words that you feel are really important from the message). After the service, meet briefly in the chapel (the room directly across from the sanctuary) and see how many words you matched with the day's bee keeper! Everyone receives a treat for playing! Play as a family or with a friend in the pew. Remember, only 10 words! All ages can play.
