Nursery

Springfield United Methodist Church is dedicated to providing a caring, safe, and clean environment for the youngest children who come to SUMC. Our goal is to communicate to children how much they are loved by our Lord through attentive, professional, high-quality care.

Our Nursery and Toddler Room is staffed by loving, paid professionals and is available Sundays from 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM, and during special church events. The nursery and the adjacent restroom are equipped with diaper changing facilities.

Our Nursery staff complete applications, interviews, and criminal background checks prior to working with children. Two or more workers are always present with children and are trained in how Safe Sanctuary church expectations. Our vibrating pager system provides peace of mind for parents while they enjoy participating in one of our adult Sunday School classes, outreach ministries, and/or worship services.

For the convenience of our nursing moms we have a rocking chair in our crib room, comfortable chairs with an adjacent bathroom in our Cry Room, and gliders in the back of the sanctuary.

Our Cry Room is located within a few feet of the Sanctuary and Chapel for fussy or ill children that need to remain with a parent. There is a private bathroom located in our Cry Room.
