Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry. The identity of those receiving care and everything they discuss with a Stephen Minister remain private. Stephen Ministers reach out with God’s love to people who are hurting.

Kits for Conference
Little things do mean a lot — especially when those little things are brought together as United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) kits. The contents of each of these “starter sets” are such simple, small things — pencils, tablets, wash cloths, latex gloves — but having or not having them can make a world of difference. Each year in June SUMC provides various “kits” for conference. These “kits” offer comfort and assistance to our brothers and sisters around the world who do not have access to the same resources that we take for granted each day.
